Now is a time when many are afraid. Where bombs are falling, people fear for their lives and limbs, for themselves and their families. In other safer parts of the world, people fear instability, uncertainty, and the ruthlessness of raw power and what it might do to them.
People have fear and anxiety. Fear is cold, like an icy blanket, a chill on the soul. But if we look in our hearts, we can find the warmth of God’s love within us. In our hearts we are connected with God’s love, which is like a coal brazier emanating warmth. God’s love is like a small furnace within us.
From this warm love comes compassion, mercy, pity, and yes, sometimes sorrow and empathy for suffering for heartbreak. Seek comfort in the warmth in our hearts that is from God.
