When fear comes upon you

November 18, 2025

Today in prayer I see Jesus surrounded by the celestial beings, angels and so on. He is saying, “We are here whether you are sleepy, awake, tired, busy, sitting quietly paying attention, or not paying attention. And we are particularly with those who suffer for the sake of others, the martyrs, the humanitarians in war zones, the food relief workers.  I am with them in their pain and suffering. We don’t go anywhere. We are constant, we are eternally here.”

When fear comes upon you, it is OK to seek comfort in prayers and religious practices. Likewise it is OK to simply meditate and seek calm through transparency.  Those who practice will know what this means. Transparency means seeing through the fear.

There are many valid paths, and the main thing is to continue to move forward along these paths, reflecting, increasing compassion, seeing the play between opening your heart and closing down, and always seeking to be open.  It means being open to God’s presence and open-hearted to human companions.

God has given us awareness, yet we stifle it with distractions. Let us be open to our God-given awareness which enables us to seek truth.

That is all for today. Amen.
