Purify our minds, purify our discourse

September 13, 2025

This morning I saw angels imploring me to sit down and write, because they have so much to say. It is uncomfortable for them to store it up, a bit like when we humans need to go to the bathroom, it is hard to wait. It can even make them feel that they might vomit the information if there isn’t some relief.

My body is not entirely my own at this point, as I am a stenographer for the Lord. Of course there are others too, who come online and offline at various times, but currently I’m online. I have seen too that the bodies we are given sometimes give us trouble. Our bodies are not perfect, and we have to adapt to their quirks and needs. The angels are sorry about that. Yet we are grateful for our bodies and should take care of them, as a temple for the Holy Spirit, as people say.

Our current political landscape is a jungle, thick with impenetrable vines, thorns, shrubs, trees, snakes and scorpions. How can we get through it?

The angels are still singing of the higher truths and glorifying God.  If we can purify our minds, we can purify our discourse.  Think on that, it is profound enough for now.  Meditate, draw, paint, pray, see friends, garden, tidy house, yoga, swim, hugs – it all works to calm and purify the mind.

There is heartbreak all around. One young life gunned down, rather than entrusted to God to learn and change. Another young life thrown away, perhaps thinking himself a hero in a video game, now imprisoned. How does this help anything?

The angels looking down beg us to stop fighting, like young siblings at each other’s throats.  Each little step and little word to avoid deepening the chasms that divide us is meritorious and worthwhile. One little step in friendship and sympathy, another little step in listening or generous kindness, and soon there is momentum. There is satisfaction in this. May we make this our mission today.
