Self-care is important, because it leads to health and wellbeing. Often what is good for self-care is also good for the planet. For example, if you love gardening or planting flowers, as long as it is without chemicals it is good for body, mind, and nature too. If you enjoy going for a walk, it uplifts mind and body, and can save on gas.
When we care for our health, we are more able to be available for others. It is not selfish to take time for self-care. In our industrially minded, driven society, too often we feel we do not have time for a walk outside, some yoga stretches, or mindful meditation. Yet basic human wholesomeness depends on it, benefits society, and can help the planet. That is all for today. Amen.
