Luke 15:1-10

Today’s message from Luke is quite clear: how God looks without ceasing to find those who have gotten lost, and how great is the rejoicing in heaven when they are found and turn their face towards the divine. The Pharisees and scribes, who are highly educated, do not think the tax collectors are worthy of attention. To them, they are unworthy members of society. Yet Jesus says there is more rejoicing in heaven when one of them reconnects with God than for all those already following God’s ways. We are those sheep, and God seeks after every single one of us, no exceptions. Then we may ride on Jesus’ back and have an easy ride home, comforted that we are found and reunited.
