Additional message received on October 14, 2024 for Luke 11:29-32:

In this reading, Jesus speaks of “evil generations,” such as the people of Nineveh who repented when Jonah came, and his own generation, which does not repent even though Jesus is there among them.  Our current generation too has its faults.  Despite its strengths, our society is somewhat unhealthy, infected with addictions, distractions, mind candy, divisiveness, anger, violence, misinformation, and manipulation of large numbers of people by unscrupulous politicians who they do not recognize as such. 

Yet in the midst of this, we are asked not to be discouraged by the illnesses of our society.  We are asked to link arms with others who want peace.  We are asked to continue to incubate the peace, nurture peace, and share the peace.  We are asked to share peace, both inner peace and outer lack of conflict based on justice, as much as we can in whatever ways we can.  Amen.
